Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my dad's birthday. He would've been 68 years old today. Crazy that's it's been 5 1/2 years since he was physically here with us. Some days it feels like just yesterday and other days it seems like forever since I heard his voice. My dad was such an awesome man for so many reasons -anyone who knew him would agree. He accomplished more in his one lifetime than most people could in two. I wish that he could be here to see the kind of woman I have become, to get to know my husband better and to meet and adore his grandbabies. I know he would be so proud. It makes me sad that my kids will never fully understand how great he was. There is definitely a void in their lives without him. I think about him everyday and miss him more than anything! We'll be heading out to his favorite restaurant tonight, Red Lobster, to celebrate and remember him. I love you dad!

Sam and Suki Sittin in a Tree....

I just couldn't help but post this picture! Sunday we met a bunch of our friends at the park to get the kiddos together for a play date. At one point we were looking for Suki and Sam and this is how we found them! I always thought Dominick would be her first kiss...

Let's Eat!

I decided that it was finally time to start feeding Max some "real" food. I use that term loosely because I certainly wouldn't want some runny rice cereal mixed with breast milk for dinner BUT he seemed to really like it! I wasn't sure if he was ready since he is not quite sitting up but he IS almost six months old and I had started to notice him staring at us every time we ate in front of him so I wanted to give it a try. After much thought, I did decide to give him rice cereal as his first food. I was so impressed that he didn't push any of it out with his tongue and he opened his mouth for every bite. Any food that you see on his face is a result of me missing his mouth completely with the spoon.

I also gave him a breastmilk "popsicle" in a mesh feeder....he wasn't that impressed :(

Watch Out Ladies!

Max, 5 1/2 months

Just look at those lashes!
He is definitely going to be a heartbreaker.

Easter Buddies!

And here they go riding off into the sunset....

Today we had our family and some friends over for Easter brunch. We didn't really get too many pictures but I just couldn't resist posting these of Suki and Dominick. They play so well together and are such good buddies. I love to watch them interact and think these photos capture their relationship and personalities to a tee. We loved having everyone over and hope that everyone's Easter was happy too!

Bikes

I have been meaning to post some pictures of my new bike on here but just haven't gotten around to taking any pictures of it until today. I finally found the perfect bike for me - a vintage trike. I LOVE it!

Doesn't this remind you of a bride and groom? So cute :-)

Happy Birthday Baby!

Yesterday was Carlos' birthday and I forgot to post...oops :( Birthdays seem to get less and less important as you age but we still tried to celebrate a little. We were able to ride our new bikes up to Postino on Central and enjoy a kid-free night. Thanks Jen for watching the kiddos for us! We had such a nice time that it reminded me of our younger days. I love you baby and I hope you had a happy birthday!

The Dog

I realized that we are "Four Wilson and a Dog" but have never posted anything about "the Dog" aka Jackson, so here he is. He was our first baby who is now almost 5 years old... We love him to pieces but have definitely kicked him to the curb a little since the real babies have come into our lives. Poor guy! We are thankful that he has been so good with the kids and can't wait for the day that Suki asks if he can sleep with her in the bed - I guess we'll need to get her a bigger bed first :)
