Lately

We have been spending alot of time outside.  Fall is my absolute favorite time of year.  It's starting to get chilly but we are still getting warm days.  I love sweaters and scarves but don't love snow boots and bulky jackets so this time of year is just perfect to me.  The trees are beautiful and the kids love playing in the leaves.  Of course we are at the playground everyday too!

Had to share just because this bike is awesome!

The Good Life

My kids have the life...in the last week and a half they have been to the beach twice, three different playgrounds, the toy store, the zoo, and the botanic gardens!  I wish that I had pictures to share from our adventures but both (yes both!) of my cameras are broken at the moment.  I guess that's what happens when you let your three year old practice her photography with your cameras.  Hopefully, I will get at least one of them up and running soon as our schedule shows no signs of slowing down.  We have the tall ships coming to Navy Pier, another beach day, an outdoor kiddie concert and Suki's first ballet class all coming up...whew I am tired just writing this!

How They Grow

I took both the munchkins to the doctor today since Suki needed a physical before she can start preschool and Max was sooo far behind on his well visits.  It was a little crazy taking both of them at the same time but with a lot of patience, a few stickers and two suckers later we were out of there.  Here are their stats...

Suki
Height: 38.25 inches  (50%)
Weight:  34.5 lbs. (60%)

Max
Height:  32.75 inches (25%)
Weight:  23 lbs. 15 oz. (10%)

Growing Like Weeds

We took both the kids for their well visits today and I'm happy to report they are healthy growing little beings.  Suki went first and was so into the whole check up thing.  She loved every bit of it.  She even watched while they pricked her finger and squeezed blood into a tube (lead and anemia testing).  The nurse and doctor were amazed at how good she was.  Our new pediatrician is amazing so the whole experience is really pleasant.  She is really calm and just has good energy.  She takes her time and she is the one who does all the measuring, weighing, etc - not a nurse!  I feel very fortunate to have found her.  Max was a little more apprehensive about the whole thing but, he still was and has always been very good in the doctors office...no crying, whining or screaming.  Makes it nice for mommy and daddy!

Stats

Suki
weight:  32 lbs.  (60%)
height:   37 in.    (50%)

Max
weight:  21 lb. 10 oz.  (10%)
height:   31.5 inches    (50%)

Children's Museum

Have I mentioned that we LOVE the museums here? The best part is that they all have a ton of free days throughout the year. We decided to take advantage of it and head over to the Children's Museum on Thursday night (it's free every Thursday!). The kids had a great time and it's so nice now that Max is officially walking...he can stroll around and do more things. I must mention that the children's museum in Phoenix is much much better though. Maybe because it's newer but it has a ton more stuff.

This Is It

This is the only picture I have from our trip to Phoenix! I can't believe that I didn't take more pictures. The kids had so much fun playing and we had so much fun hanging out. We were so busy the entire time that I really didn't think about pulling out the camera much. I wish I had because I already miss everybody so much!!!!

One Last Time at the Children's Museum

Last week Carlos and I decided to take the kids to the Children's Museum one last time before we left town. It was so packed with people but they both had a really great time. Max was able to enjoy it for the first time. We are going to miss this place!
