NEWS

There's been so much going on around here that I've been slacking on my posts. I am so excited to officially announce that at the end of this month we will be moving to Chicago!!!! We've been talking about it for awhile and are so excited. Carlos got offered a job a few weeks ago and we talked it over and decided to go for it. We are renting out our house here and were able to find an awesome apartment in Chicago. Our new place is one block from the lake - 8 miles from downtown - across the street from a playground - walking distance to shops and restaurants. It is a traditional brownstone building built in 1907 that has been completely refurbished. We fell in love with it the minute we walked in. It doesn't hurt that is 1950 square feet either! Everything just seems to be falling into place. Even with all the excitement we can't help but to be sad about everything and everyone we are leaving behind. We have such an awesome group of friends here that we can't imagine having to make new ones. Our kids are going to miss all of our mommy get togethers and spending time with their grandparents. It will be hard to be away from our parents. Neither one of us have lived away from them except for college. Most of all, I can't believe I am leaving my sister and her family!!! We have gotten so much closer these last few years and we are going to miss them soooooooo much. I'm sure we will have some very large phone bills! We are hoping that everyone will come out and visit soon - so this is your invitation! I will post pictures in the coming weeks.

  1. Wow Nancy, what exciting news! We will miss you guys (Sam will definitely miss Suki!), but I'm sure it is the right choice for your family, and it sounds great. I have heard Chicago is SO beautiful. Hope we get to see you before you leave :)

  2. I am very happy for you guys if this is such a great opportunity!
I will miss our possible play dates too, but now we have even more of a reason to visit Chicago! (My best friend, Dino lives there, & Michael has never been- I've been dying to bring him there!)
    Please keep in touch!
