Over The River And Through The Woods

Today was a very exciting day at the Wilson house...it was Suki's first dance recital!  She has been taking ballet since August and we were particularly excited/curious to watch her performance because she's not the most graceful girl and she never shows us what she learns in class.  Well, I may be biased but I think she did pretty well.  I was so proud of her for getting up there and having fun.  I hope there will be many more recitals in our future!  Up next...mini hip-hop.

Max's Growth Stats

I took Max for his two year check up today (yes I know...late again!) and the poor guy has barely gained any weight.  The doctor doesn't seem concerned since he is growing and developing.  I was able to leave Suki at home so it was nice to get some one-on-one time with my little man.  I so rarely get the opportunity!
here's his stats and a picture just because he's so cute!

Height:  34.5 inches (40%)
Weight:  24lb. 13 oz. (10%)

trying to catch our breath

I know it's been forever since I've blogged but these last few months have been crazy and now I am just trying to get caught up before the holiday madness is in full effect.  October and November were very busy with trips to Phoenix, Wisconsin, Puerto Rico and then Phoenix again.  I have so many pictures to share but haven't even had a chance to edit them all.  Suki's school is keeping us very busy and she has her first dance recital next weekend....I am so excited!  We are also experiencing our first blizzard today.  I promise to blog more and share photos soon.

Hope everyone's homes are filled with mistletoe and smelling of eggnog!

23 Months & 25 Days

Tomorrow my little man turns two...that's right TWO!!!

two things that i absolutely love about him right now..(i do love more than two things but it's late and i'm tired)...

1. he recently decided that he loves "keeses" and "uggs" - not the boots (although he likes those too!). he is very generous with them.

2. he calls Suki "honey" - nothing else just "honey".  it's seriously the cutest thing to hear him yelling "hunneee" while chasing her around at the playground.

Lately

We have been spending alot of time outside.  Fall is my absolute favorite time of year.  It's starting to get chilly but we are still getting warm days.  I love sweaters and scarves but don't love snow boots and bulky jackets so this time of year is just perfect to me.  The trees are beautiful and the kids love playing in the leaves.  Of course we are at the playground everyday too!

Had to share just because this bike is awesome!

Camping

This past weekend Four Wilsons and a Dog went camping.  This was the first time we've been camping by ourselves, it was the first time Max had been camping and it was the first time we have ever camped at a campground!  It was quite a different experience than camping at Stoneman Lake or Williams, AZ but we all had a great time and are looking forward to going again (when it's a little warmer).  We went to this amazing state park in Indiana called Potato Creek.  They have a lake with boat rentals, a beach, nature center, bike rentals and tons of trails.  Our trip was too short to take advantage of most of these amenities but there's always next time...

We were only 15 miles away from South Bend, Indiana so we had to take a drive to see Notre Dame University.  Max was asleep in the car so we didn't get out but it is a beautiful campus.

Mad Man Max

This is what I've been calling him lately.  He has officially entered the terrible two's!  They aren't really that terrible but he is a mad man.  He runs (not walks) everywhere, climbs on everything, dumps baskets of toys out all over the house, pushes things around the house to use as climbing "props", and is seriously addicted to his binky and his blankie.  It's a good thing he's so cute...

Horizon Vanilla Milk Love

GRallery

Today we went to a neighborhood festival called "The GRallery".  It kicked off with a kiddie bike parade and had tons of fun stuff to do.  The kids mostly loved the music....Max especially.  Fun (but cold) day!
